I have a Smart-UPS 3000 RM XL with an external battery (that is currently not showing up in the admin portal registered). A total of three battery packs.
I got notice that replacement battery is needed so I ordered two replacement packs. What is the correct procedure for determining which battery pack is bad? Multimeter the blue connector piece and check for 120v? Or pull out all the packs and check each one, one by one.
To check the battery do I simply hold down the "TEST" button for a few seconds, then wait and see if the alarm goes away? Is this also the replacement procedure or should we expect true hot swap without having to push the "TEST" button or any buttons?
My thinking is that the replacement packs will need to be charged and will not support a self test.
Thanks for advice

Hi Taylor , i recommend to change all battery packs of the ups and external packs , if you only change some of them the older ones will increase temperature and they will fail quickly , and the test of the ups just test if your ups support the load and if they give enough runtime , you can´t test just one pack.
so in your case i would change all batteries to not put in danger the ups,
regards.
