Hello,
I have a few UPS devices that are giving me errors but I'm not sure whether the units are bad or if there's a way to fix them. I have two Smart-UPS 3000RM devices and a Smart-UPS 1400 RM. All three are reporting a "Discharged Battery" State. I've swapped battery packs from a good unit to one of the ones that's reporting this error and I still get the same error, even after doing a run-time Cal. That tells me that it's not the batteries, but something wrong with the units themselves. Before I spend thousands of dollars to replace these three and a few others I have I would like to know if there is a way to fix this error. I really don't believe that there is a real problem, but I don't want to get caught with my pants down if the power drops. Here are some readings from the three devices.
#1 Smart UPS 3000RM Input/Output= 208.8VAC Load Power= 43.5% Load Current= 6.6Amps Batt. Voltage= 53.73 (But that can't be right because I just did a Run-time Cal. and the bar is only reporting 30%) What is wrong here?
#2 Smart UPS 3000RM Input/Output= 208.8VAC Load Power=48.7% Load Current= 7.0 Amps Batt. Voltage= 55.35 (Getting three errors on this box, Replacement Battery needed, already did, Discharged Battery and Self-test Failed.)
#3 Smart UPS 1400RM Input/Output= 120.9VAC Load Power= 57.8% Batt. Voltage= 27.27 (Getting Discharged Battery error on this unit) Battery capacity is 100% with only 2 minutes run time.
What should I do? Can these be repaired?
BTW, these reading are all taken via a web browser interface if that makes any difference between that and CLI.
Thanks in advance.

Good day AJ,
To help you out further would it be possible for us to know the model and serial number of your UPSs? This would help us determine how old your UPSs are, aside from UPS#2 have you tried replacing the batteries on the other units? Do you see any LED indicator that are flashing or hear beeps coming from the UPS? Do you have any APC accessorries that are installed on these UPSs like a network management card, serial cables or smart-slot cards? What troubleshooting steps have you done so far with these units?
If you are using a network management card, would it be possible for you to download the event and data files and attach it here? Here is a guide on how you would do this --> [How can I download Event logs and Data logs and Config.ini from the Network Management card?|http://nam-en.apc.com/cgi-bin/nam_en.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=9321]
Also, I suggest that you read and see if you can do this on your end --> [Why are the battery charge LEDs flashing on a Smart-UPS?|http://nam-en.apc.com/cgi-bin/nam_en.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1497]. Before doing the calibration, please be sure that non-critical loads are not attached to this unit.
