Have a APC Back-UPS XS 1500 that has one server, a monitor, speakers, and wireless mouse hooked to it. All lights on the front are blinking and it is continuously beeping. I've tried unplugging battery and letting it seat but didn't seem to help. When all equipment is idle, I get no beeps or lights but when I turn even just my monitor on, it starts to go. What could this be?

If the brain dead does not clear this issue, then I recommend you to replace the UPS in order to protect your critical application.

Joe,
It appears to be an internal fault with the UPS. If you purchased this unit within last three years, please call in APC Customer Care Center for the replacement unit.

Thanks for the reply. Am I at risk with this now? I think I might be over my 3 years on this unit. Could this internal fault cause harm to my server or other equipment?

Hello Joe,
Just like what Techie suggested, please contact our APC Customer Care Center. The behavior of your UPS might end up on a unit failure which can cause for the load to drop and downtime in your end. If the unit is out of warranty already, I am sure that the APC Technical Support can offer you another UPS by means of a Trade-UPS.

Joe, Are all of the front four lights blink at the same time? If they are blinking at the same time, then the unit needs to be serviced/replaced.
If the lights are blinking alternately, brain dead the UPS and see if the same problem occurs again. Click on the below link to know how to brain dead the UPS.

The Online light stays green. The On Battery, Overload and Replace Battery all blink at the same time as well as beeps every couple seconds. I'll try the brain dead link you gave me and see if it works. Thanks again.
