This page:
http://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA284138/
says "On Smart-UPS models with LED indicator lights on the front panel, you can mute alarms via ... Power Chute Business Edition.... Muting alarms on these units will mute everything except for the Low Battery Signal Alarm, which is continuous beeping for the duration of the Low Battery Signal."
Under Configuration I have chosen "Audible Alarm - Never"
However, alarm for Battery Replacement is still sounding 2 or 3 times each day. Please confirm if instructions on quoted web page are correct.

I have an XS 1500G serial #4B1744P14557. Several times during the night the alarm goes off sporadically. Only at night; of course while I am sleeping. Alarms are shut off on the LCD and in PowerChute. The unit is about 12 months old. The self test passes. In PowerChute I have adjusted all the alarm units to the maximum range. When I first got the unit the "self test" would fail occasionally but after a number of tries if would pass. The power usage is less than 130 watts. When the main PC is shut down the usage goes down significantly to just supplying power to modem, router, POE, VOIP and security equipment.
Done everything in the video.
Attached is the PowerChute log file.
Is my load too small for the 1500?

Sorry, I should have included that. It's model SC1000I and serial 5S0949T60848. Page I quoted says it applies to "Smart-UPS" product line, and mine is a Smart-UPS.

Hi Richard,
There may be other alerts that are not configurable to be muted, for example the Overload audible alert should be one of these, as this is a condition in which the UPS is not recommended to operate for an extended period of time. Similarly, the Replace Battery notification is a life cycle alert that should not be ignored (this can easily happen if the alert is muted) in order for a potentially old battery to not end up overcharged.
I don't have an SC model to test this out on, but the easiest way to verify if the PowerChute - Audible Alerts: Never setting did its job is to disconnect the UPS from AC mains and see if it emits the 4 beeps every 30 seconds that is the audible indication of On Battery operation. If this alert is muted, but the Replace Battery notification is still audible, it means it's one of the alerts that cannot be muted.
