Local access to the command line interface
For local access, use a computer that connects to the Network Management Card through the serial port to access the command line interface:
1. Select a serial port at the computer, and disable any service that uses that port.
2. Connect the provided serial cable (part number 940-0299) from the selected port on the computer to the configuration port at the NMC. 3. Run a terminal program (e.g. 3rd party terminal emulator programs like HyperTerminal, PuTTy, or Tera Term) and configure the selected port for 9600 bps, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, and no flow control. Save the changes.
4. Press ENTER, repeatedly if necessary, to display the User Name prompt.
5. Use apc for the user name and password (if card has been reset or is new)

Hi Francesco,
From what you've written they have installed ATS firmware on a UPS, that obviously won't work...
This should help:
First you need to log into the device via SSH or Serial and enable FTP using this command:
ftp -S enable
reboot
yes
Next you need to download the following files:
https://schneider-electric.box.com/s/2pwkj0c41rs2byumkyafpezkvjx1ya63
Connect to the NMC using FTP, I recommend the WinSCP client,
Upload "apc_hw05_bootmon_109.bin" to the root,
The NMC will reboot,
Reconnect via FTP,
Upload "apc_hw05_aos_696.bin" to the root,
The NMC will reboot,
Reconnect via FTP,
Upload "apc_hw05_sumx_696.bin" to the root,
The NMC will reboot for the final time
After that is completed you might need to log back in via SSH and enter these commands to enable HTTPS:
web -s enable
reboot
Yes
