Hi,
Can I parallel connect Additional batteries, lets say 2x70Ah to my standard inside APC battery 2x17Ah in APC Smart 1500 ? Will be there problems with loading and overheating?
I heard that the current (A)charging should be 1 / 10 of capacity of the max Ah of battery. This means that for (2 2x70Ah x17aH) 174Ah the charging current (A) in total will be 17A?

Of course I do not expect an official recommendation is contrary to the interests of the APC, I understand. But I want to do it on their own private responsibility.

You could attempt this, but i would watch it these upses keep the batteries at 13.5-13.7 volts each so there is a possibility that the ups could fry the batteries
or boil them
