in order to get the NMC going again, i'd start with using these instructions -> http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3061 and if you need to reset the password, use this -> http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7879

as far as reseating the power module, if you remove the front faceplate and maybe the display as well (i forget if the display is in the way), there is a little switch on the bottom left hand corner of it as far as i remember. i dont think there is a screw there but there is a handle where you can remove the power module and pull it out and then push it back in and reset the little switch on it. the switch puts the unit in and out of bypass but when its off, it doesnt matter.

i dont know what it means really but it does not look good. how did this come about, do you know? can you access the network management card installed in the rear so we can check its logs before we start touching the UPS? i'd recommend checking the event log in there before you start reseating things and possibly wasting time. if you cant do that or don't want to, yes, i'd start by braindeading the UPS - remove AC power and any attached load (even if its not powered). then you can go ahead and hold the off (o) button until the UPS clicks. then power it back up. before doing that, you could reseat the power module if you wanted.

i think the logs will be the most helpful. with the UPS in this state, the network interface should still be accessible.

How can you reset the power module?

Well i can't access the networkcard i don't known the ip address. I reset the networkcard and i used the app from APC Device IP Configuration Utility V5.0.0. But it doesn't find it using Locate unconfigured cards. I wanna reset the networking interface to default so i can configure the networkcard again. What i'm doing wrong? Do i need to use the serial cable to configure the networkcard again?

Greetings,

Sander
