I have a requirement to run an approx. 150w load for 3+ hours in case of power failure. According to the runtime chart on the APC site the SUA2200 looks to be just what i need. However, from looking at the runtimes for other products in the chart i'm worried that the entry for the SUA2200 may mistakenly be a duplicate of the SUA3000 data. e.g. why is there such a huge jump in runtimes between the SUA1500 and SUA2200 products but no real difference between the latter and the SUA3000 runtimes ? I don't want to find out after purchase that i'll only get about 2.5 hours from unit.
Anyone know if the SUA2200 figures are accurate ?
Also, anyone know how many watts the SUA2200 will use when fully charged and with mains power still on ?

The SUA1500 and SUA2200 use entirely different batteries, hence a large difference in runtime. The SUA2200 and SUA3000 share the same battery type, therefore on-battery capacity, which explains the runtime readings. The readings for the SUA2200 are accurate for whatever wattage you are providing it.
The draw from an SUA2200 is minimal when fully charged and online with no load. I cannot give exact figures but assuming that there is no charging needed, no accessory installed in the SmartSlot, and no load, the draw necessary just to power the system PCB, LEDs, etc. is going to be far under an amp.

Just trying to get my head around this. The SUA3000 has a max load of 2.7kw and can carry this for 6 mins whereas the SUA2200 has a max load of 1.98kw and can carry this for 7 minutes but you're saying they still have identical battery capacity ?
Anyone know how many watts the SUA2200 will draw while waiting to be called into action ?

Splotch,
The battery charger in the SUA2200 is 271W. So at max if the UPS is idle w/ no load, it would use 271W if the battery were being charged, and obviously some amount less if simply idle and trickle charging the battery.

I should clarify regarding my power consumption question, I'm trying to estimate how much power will be consumed over a period of time (e.g. month or year) in the best case scenario where the UPS is fully charged and never called into action, which is why i'm asking for the watts used by the SUA2200 when fully charged with the mains supply still on.
i.e. i'm trying to estimate the best case additional electricity cost of inserting this UPS into an existing system for which i already know the running cost, so it's this negligible draw while trickle charging that i need to know.
