I am looking to have my ups's switch from ups to utility if power fails, and also want to control outlets remotely to power down equipment, any help will do. Thanks.

In this case, for example, I have one su700 in a closet, would like it to bypass to utility power if it fails, also provide surge/noise suppression of utility power, and provide means to remotely power off/on up to 6 devices. Does this make sense? Thanks for your help on this.

hi erin
what size UPS are we talking about here? the single phase options offer a Rack Automatic Transfer Switch and then you could use a Switched Rack PDU. I'd have to look into the 3 phase options but it sounds like an ISX ATS and switched rack PDU would do, as well.

oh hm. if you want a Rack ATS then, check out these -> http://www.apc.com/products/family/index.cfm?id=14
you'd power an ATS off two UPSs on two different circuits, for maximum redundancy. then connect your load to the ATS that you would like to give redundancy to. in your case, it sounds like you want to set that up then plug in a [switched rack PDU|http://www.apc.com/products/family/index.cfm?id=70] for your load so that you can log into it and control the outlets, set outlet delays, etc
