APC USB driver seems to freeze PC processor

Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Please uninstall PCPE, follow the instructions in FAQ FA159743 to roll the USB drive back to HID UPS Battery, then configure power protection shutdown via the Power Options in the control panel (see FAQ FA159653).

Once done monitor the system to see if the freezing stops happening.

Thanks very much for the information, Bill, that's great. Using the native Windows battery functions (rather than PCPE) works fine and does not cause any of the real-time issues I seemed to be experiencing with PCPE.
