Dear APC Tech team,
I've APC Smart-UPS 1000, connected to 2x12volts (165Amperes) Acid Batteries, using for household.
Lately, my electricity bill is keep increasing, no matter how much I'm careful about using low power appliances.
I've attached 6 images for your ready reference. Ampere meter readings with Load, while Batteries are Fully Charged are as follows:
1. Amperes on Battery Anode
2. Amperes on Battery-Cathode
3. Load Amperes through UPS on Live
4. Load Amperes through UPS on Neutral
5. Load Amperes directly on Live (UPS Disconnected)
6. Load Amperes directly on Neutral (UPS Disconnected)
Please advise, what could be the possible problem and how can I fix it. Your prompt and positive response would be highly appreciated.

Hi Ahmad,
Your clamp meter looks to me like an AC current meter only. If that is the case, then the readings for the battery terminal current, which is of course DC, won't be accurate.
Otherwise, my best guess is that the batteries you are using are starting to draw more current from the charger, maybe due to getting old or wearing out. This could lead to a higher power drain through the UPS which is what you are indicating. To troubleshoot, I would advise disconnecting the batteries from the UPS temporarily, to see if that reduces the UPS's power usage from the supply. The power must be going somewhere: are the batteries or the UPS itself warm to the touch?
Hope this helps.
