Hi,
I've just started to try the APC PowerChute Network solution (Appliance as well as the application on a server) but it seems that i can only configure one host.
I'm in a multiple sites situation and i have only one vCenter which is centralised.
i can't configure PowerChute Network using the "Host managed by vCenter Server" because, if a major power down occures on a distant site, the network link may be down too (not all the network hardware are secured by an UPS - and won't be) and so, the vCenter will be unreachable from the powerchute.
When i configure the Powerchute Network, i can only add one host but i haven't found how to add another esx host.
i need to shutdown properly the guest machines of 2 (or more) esx hosts without vCenter
Is there any solution to face my problem ?

Nicolas,
Please review Application Note 180
A similar configuration to yours is discussed on page 13.
To resolve the issue of possible lost communications with vCenter you should create a local account that PCNS will use to communicate with the hosts and vCenter. See page 19 of the Application Note and review the PCNS VMware User's Guide page 17.
