Hello
I have a APC Back UP 500 ES ups. It works fine when connected to main power supply. but i connect it to the power supply that comes from generator its amber light is flashing continuously and also beeping. the beeping sound is different. I have another same ups that works fine on generator power.
What will be the problem and how can i resolve. help me please

Hi Amandeep,
Is the unit beeping and if so what does it sound like? Are the LEDs flashing at the same time or are they alternating? Are you using the software and if so what does it report? Is this a model BE500-IN (found on the little white sticker on the bottom of the UPS)?
This doesn't sound like a normal fault but with the info above we can take another look.
