Hi,

Use lower case apc for user name in either hyper-terminal or telnet (won't work via the web)

Use the following for password (any letters are capitalized) 1265<;^IBB>=

You will then have to log in again but use lower case apc for both user name and password.

Thanks Bill! That certainly did do the trick! I'm curious how these units get in this state? I've done some testing by powering off the unit, resetting the unit using the menu, and holding the reset button down for 10-15 seconds and I can still log in using apc/apc. If this particular device does end up in the state that I received it in, can I just use the password that you supplied again to get access to the account apc/apc?

I've taken ownership of several old remote SU5000T's, and no one remembers the passwords. We are planning to replace later in the year, but I would like to make sure these are working properly without traveling to the other side of the country. Can you help please?

Mark,

This thread is discussing password reset for AP9210 not SU5000 or SURT8000.

Those Smart-UPS do not have a default user name or password. If there are network management cards is the Smart-UPS the default user name is apc and passwords is apc. If you need assistance resetting the user name and password on the network management cards see FAQ http://www.schneider-electric.us/en/faqs/FA156075/

Hi Rich,

Use lower case apc for user name in either hyper-terminal or telnet (won't work via the web)

Use the following for password  8;;<::^IBB<@ (any letters are capitalized)

You will then have to log in again but use lower case apc for both user name and password

Please note that these units are no longer supported, and we recommend taking them out of service.
