I attempted to upgrade the firmware on an AP9631 from 6.2.1 to 6.8.8. The Firmware Upgrade Utility reported success, but when the APC rebooted at the end, the web interface reports that "The application was not able to load". I can telnet to the device and the AOS still shows 6.2.1. I have tried formatting the device, but still no change. I have pushed the files to the device via FTP multiple times with no change. At this point, the Firmware Upgrade Utility will not connect, so FTP is my only option.
One thing that I noted. Using SecureFX, I can see the apc_hw05_aos_621.bin file on the device, and it has 333 permissions. Is it strange that I can see that file but not the bootmon and sumx bins?
Thanks, Bob

Thanks! I'll give that a shot next time I am able to get someone into that facility.

Hi Bob,
With the AP9631, you could try to do a USB firmware upgrade - I've had pretty good luck recovering cards that way. Instructions on performing that can be found here: https://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA156047/
