AP9630 on Smart-UPS 3000 cannot email

This is a nightmare...

We've got Smart-ups from 1000 to 10000 using AP9630 (some 9631) ALL use the same config. to send events (same server, dns, etc). EXCEPT 1 card 9630 mounted in Smart-ups 3000.

We update all cards with de same firmware (6.5) but this card still failing randomly.

Has everyone else suffer this?

Thanks

Martin.

Hi Martin,

I am not aware of any firmware issues going on relating to this on 6.5.0. Do you use a mainstream email service like Gmail, Yahoo, etc or something in house? Are you saying the same exact behavior was occurring on a previous version? If so, on all units or still just this one unit?

My first thought was to check the event log at the time of the email failure and see if you see anything like "Could not mail" or similar. Furthermore, can you elaborate on how random it is? Is it just one email out of several that go out at the same time or does it last for days at a time or any other specifics you can share?

My other thoughts were - besides config which you said is the same, are all the units on the same network switch, VLAN, physical site, etc. Anything else different about this one that comes to mind?
