AP9630 Number of external batteries option missing

Hello

I recently installed an AP9630 into a Smart-UPS X 1500 with two external battery packs. I have tried to locate the option to tell the card that it has two external battery packs, but that option seems to be missing in this firmware/card.

On our other UPS's we can get to this option by going to UPS->Configuration->General->External Batteries and changing the value. On the AP9630 it seems to be missing. Is it in another place, or is it a bug of some sort?.

Strange. I have checked all my units (I have a SMX3000 and SMX1000 readily available) and I am seeing it there under Battery Status (which they all have 0 connected but I still see the field saying 0).

Another thing is can you see if they are recognized under the Status menu on the front panel of the LCD once they are actually connected? You'll need your menu set to Advanced mode though there (which you can do by going to Configuration and changing the menu type).

Can you unplug these by chance and then reconnect them one at a time and see if you get the external battery packs recognized by the UPS LCD screen if possible? It should indicate a pack was added.

that UPS has intelligent batteries (as long as they are plugged in properly of course) so you don't have to manually set the number of battery packs any longer on any SMX model UPS (which yours is I can tell since you said Smart UPS 1500 X - X tells me SMX)

You should see the packs accounted for under Detailed Status->Measurements in your web UI as the last item listed.

Hi Angela

I have included a screenshot of the UI as I could not see anything that specifically said external battery packs. There are two extra packs connected to the UPS FYI.1169_UPS.JPG
