We have about 20 of this newly purchased AP9630 management cards on our network, I have 2 of them failed within 6 month. I tried reseting it, based on the APC manual with no luck, The reset orange light/marker below the network port stays lit and flashing.. We have had the older version of the card on our network for over 7 years ( AP9617) and never once have any issue, The AP9630 are the new batch we installed 6 month ago and 2 already failed, Anybody have a fix for this?
we tried reseting it multiple times, holding the reset and following the steps and also by attempting logging into it using both (console/webpage) apc (FCI 940-0625A) console cable and the device Ip configuration V5 utility, still no luck, there is no respond from the unit.
Part number is AP9630
Information is Attached

Hi Philly,
That is good news. the card is working and receiving power. We should be able to serial into the card and apply the Manual IP address. Make sure to follow the instructions in the link below.

Hi Philly,
I am sorry you are having trouble with your new cards. You say the orange light below the marker is lit/orange. Which LED is this. There are 2 below the network port. One is labeled 10/100 (link) the other is labeled with a checkmark and an x (Status).
For the status LED the LED behavior is as follows:
-off: card is not receiving power
-solid green: card has a valid IP address
-solid orange: card has a hardware fault
-flashing green: card does not have a valid ip address
-flashing orange: card is making a bootP request
-flashing orange and green: (slowly) card is making a dhcp request (rapidly)card is booting up
For the link LED the LED behavior is as follows:
-off: card is not receiving power, card does not have a network cable connected, the switch/hub is not active
-solid green: card is on network that communicated at 10mbps
-solid orange: card is on network that communicated at 100mbps
-flashing green: card is receiving data packets at 10mbps
-flashing orange: card is receiving data pakcets at 100mbps
Determining what these lights are doing exactly should help us figure out what is going on with your cards. If I had to guess I think we just need to re-enter the IP address onto your cards. When oyu try to connect to the NMC using the console cable what settings are you using for the putty/terminal session?

Thanks for the fast response Michael , base on your reply, my problem is the status led flashing orange. I'm guessing making bootP request
