AP9604 SmartSlot Expansion Chassis

I have just aquired a AP9604 Expansion Chassis, unfortunately it did not come with any cables, any ideas as what is required to go between the UPS and the expansion chassis.

I will be plugging this into my test rig of a 1000RM UPS and possibly an SC1000i UPS for temperature / humidity monitoring, i will also be fitting an ethernet card as well.

telnet is a network protocol.

when using a triple chassis, the 940-1000 cable should be connected to the DB9 port on the UPS and the "to UPS" port on the chassis. the 940-0024 should be connected to the "monitoring port" on the triple chassis so you can use hyperterminal for configuration. if you do configuration through there (for network settings or something), then generally you remove that cable telnet after thats done and you connect a network cable.

what exactly are you trying to configure and what slot is it installed in? what other accessories are installed in each slot?

The AP9604 only works with one UPS at a time. You need a 940-0024 cable if you are to use any monitoring software such as PowerChute Business Edition, etc., and this cable connects to the "UPS Monitoring" port on the chassis and strings to your PC. Otherwise a 940-1000A/B cable is required for connection from the chassis's "To UPS" port to the UPS serial port itself for chassis accessory to UPS communication.

Unfortunately we cannot provide the pinouts of our cables, they are proprietary.

Hi,

Do you have to have the Triple Chasis connected to the UPS via 940-1000A cable during configuration?
I am experiencing configuration problems when trying to telnet using the 940-0024 cable connected to my PC using hyper term.
