We have a rack full of gear controlled by an AP7902, which is fed by a Tripp Lite AP2424 inverter/charger
http://www.tripplite.com/products/product.cfm?productID=174
The load varies between 15 and 17.5 amps @ 120VAC. Momentary utility "blips" sometimes cause a system coldstart on the AP7902. Other times the blips have no impact. I'm not sure if the utility events are actual power losses are just voltage drops.
The inverter outputs a "step square" waveform according to Tripp Lite. Would this waveform cause the AP7902 to shutdown/reboot at times?

For the benefit of future searches, according to APC support they only test this gear with pure sine wave power. The step square sine wave may be a problem, but they don't know for sure.
