ACRC502 - Humidifier Commmunication Fault

Hi community!

I have couple ACRC502 units that started exhibiting same problem as in this thread (I cannot post there for some reason):
https://community.se.com/t5/APC-UPS-Data-Center-Enterprise/ACRC502-Humidifier-Commmunication-Fault/t...
In fact, they behave like they are ACRP units (with humidifier and heater) but they are not! So they with through random errors like:

Warning Humidifier Communication Fault
Warning Heater 3 Fault
Warning

Return Humidity Sensor Fault

Our setup consist of 8 units: 4x ACRP502 and 4x ACRC502, combined in one group. Only ACRC502 will exhibit this problem
All 8 units have same firmware:

* Application Module: acrp v3.9.1
* APC OS (AOS): aos v3.9.2

I could not find specific firmware for ACRC502. It looks like it uses same files as ACRP502. So the question is: how to tell my ACRC units that they don't have humidifier and heaters and stop throwing errors?

Hello, correct is necessary that a FSR uses the factory mode on the unit and write the following command of "2BW 2" as this removes reheat / humid.

Dear,

Both ACRP and ACRC units share the same firmware, it is recommended that an SR visit the site and apply the factory commands  to the MB in order to adjust unit model and ensure the R2 SIMM controller is used in these units

Regards,

Karim

Hi, it sounds like an easy procedure we can carry ourselves. How I can put unit in factory mode? Should I use serial console connection? Are there special credentials?

Can I enter these commands from serial console myself? These units are quite old, out of warranty and out of official support, according to information on product page. So I would be happy if you provide instructions on how to enter factory mode and enter these commands.

Hello, I would say this is a job from a FSR only, it does require special credentials and experience.
