I have a 750xl with an external battery pack.
unit seems to work fine when it is on. Tested the unit with the plug remove to run on battery power only and it seems fine also.
First I thought it was my son who power off the unit when I am not home. Well child been away for all weekend.
Went to work at 7am and unit was on. Came back at 4pm and its off.
When unit is powered on its all green lights. There is 1light for load and 5 lights for 1 load because I just plugged in a LCD TV to draw some load to test when I got home.
Any suggestion?

do you just have to push the power button when you turn it back on? what does the far right bar graph have lit when you power it back on? are you using any monitoring software at all? if not, it might be a good idea to install it incase it occurs again - at least there would be an event log to review.
can you be more specific on the UPS model number from the what sticker on the back of the UPS? or at least, is there an LCD on the front of the unit? by what you described, i suspected SUA750XL or SMT750XL.
