I asked someone about this as I was not sure. From what I understand, you've already tried to physically re-connect the internal batteries in the XLBP? If so, make sure that you have 500 watts of load or more and run a self test again. RBC's in batt packs are often not recognized without load.
If that doesn't help or change the situation, I suggest that you please contact your local technical support office as there may be a problem like a blown fuse and it may require spare parts to be sent to you which local support can handle and manage.
