2017: Modbus on SMX 3000 HV

Hi, 

What is the current state of Modbus support with the SMX 3000 HV on latest firmware? I need to decide whether to perform an upgrade or not to allow my software to read more monitoring values.

Hello - 

There is no native MODBUS support on the SMX units, only SMT units with firmware 09.0 or higher and all SRT products.

Considering what Liam shared regarding no native support on the UPS itself, you can do Modbus TCP on this UPS with the available AP9630 or AP9631 UPS Network Management Card options. AP9635 can be used too for Modbus serial (2 or 4 wire) in addition to Modbus TCP.
