Hi,
I just bought a couple 1500-XLM's (used) and every morning, whether the UPS is on or off, it starts beeping, then faster, then faster, and quits after about a minute.
The manual doesn't mention an "alarm" that is configured, but this thing is almost like an alarm clock.
My wife is telling me "make it stop"... so, please,... help! 🙂

Logs do not indicate anything out of the ordinary.
I do see I didn't configure my mail server setting correct.
It seems to be logging start up times, etc. but nothing that would indicate an alarm
I also search for the time the beeps start and nothing has been logged for the few days the logging has been active.

if they're used, this may be in relation to a battery problem. the replace battery alarm is supposed to alarm for one minute every five hours. it doesnt do it at any other time?
while you hear this alarm, do any LEDs appear on the front panel? solid or flashing?
thanks.

No, it only does it every morning at exactly the same time... 6am.
Honestly, I usually don't wake up until a little after 7am, so when it goes off, I just cover my head with the pillow.
If I recall, it starts with a simple beep, then speeds up some, then speeds up more, then just stops.
All other hours of the day, the lights on the unit do not indicate a battery problem.

Hi,
I would like to know if you have configured the network management card that comes along on that unit. The network management card records the events and data. Below is the knowledge base article that you can follow to retrieve the event and data logs, provided that you have configured the network management card.

silly question too but hey it has happened before and I will just throw it out there.
are you sure it is the UPS making these noises? this pattern of beeping and behavior is not familiar to us so i am just asking. not saying its not possible though.

Hi Winna,
Yeah, it's coming from the UPS.
I have turned it off and when it does this, I come in this room and the lights are on and it's definately coming from the UPS.
Thanks, that would be embarrassing if it was something else.

Hi Jon,
Yes. I was having some issues configuring this device at first but over the weekend, I was able to configure it.
The IP was 0.0.0.0 and I had to use a sniffer to find was IP it was.
I'll check to see what the logs say. The time was wrong in the unit, and I thought we had the problem fixed, but for the last 2 days the beeping still comes on at 6am sharp.
I'll post anything I learn from the logs.
Thanks!
Loral
