Site Wiring Fault
The UPS has detected that one of the following problems exist in the building wiring that supplies its input power:
• The input power to the UPS has its polarity reversed.
• The input power is not grounded, or the UPS is not properly grounded.
• The neutral wire of the input power source is overloaded (greater than 7 volts).
Have a licensed electrician investigate and correct the wiring issue.
UPS Command (Reboot) Unsuccessful
The UPS device’s outlet group(s) could not be completed at this time. For example, APC Smart-UPS could not contact the UPS or the UPS rejected the reboot request. If there is already a reboot in progress, the new reboot request will be unsuccessful.
To retry rebooting your outlet group(s), click the Try Again button in the Control section in the UPS Status page.
UPS Firmware Version Out of Date
The current UPS firmware is out of date, and a new firmware upgrade is available for your UPS.
NOTE:A valid Standard or Advanced plan is required to initiate a UPS firmware upgrade via the Web Portal.
NOTE: This is a Lifecycle Event
In the Web Portal, go to the Dashboard, click View UPSnext to the UPS with a status description of "UPS Firmware Version Out of Date". In the UPS Status page, click the Active Events banner to expand the events, and click View Upgradefor more information, and to initiate the upgrade.
Alternatively, you can upgrade your UPS firmware via the LCD or using the Firmware Upgrade Wizard.
UPS On Battery
The UPS has switched to battery power to support its load in response to an input power issue, e.g. a power outage.
The devices connected to the UPS are supported by the UPS battery. Check the OnBattery field displayed on the UPS Status page to see the runtime remaining. If the devices connected to the UPS are managed by PowerChute, they will be gracefully shut down according to the PowerChute configuration.
User Initiated Bypass
You have used the UPS bypass switch or a PowerChute Serial Shutdown diagnostic to put the UPS into bypass mode for maintenance.
While in bypass, the battery is not supporting the load. If a power outage occurs, the devices connected to the UPS are not protected by the UPS battery. When maintenance is completed, return the UPS to on line operation immediately.
