Hi,

SmartConnector 2.5.4.18 failed to start after system restart. See the exception log below.

It would be nice if this can be fixed in the next version.

Hi Mike,

The error indicate the SC cannot log to the database.

Cannot open database "SmartConnector.Service" requested by the login. The login failed.
Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'.

Check that the SQL server is running on the machine.

if sql is running and you can connect to management studio, see if your db is in suspect mode (or offline- just online it).  there are scripts that can take it out of that mode (usually due to data issues), but you may lose some db data in the process.

try connecting to the db directly via odbc.
