SmartConnector crash (2.5.4) crashes (The SmartConnectorService service terminated unexpectedly.)

Hi,

After creating an EWS server -  SmartConnector crashes. In the Event Viewer I can see these errors:

The SmartConnectorService service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s).

2022-04-14 09:08:38.5759,Error,Processor,<no principal>,The EwsServer was not located or the credentials you supplied were incorrect. Please verify your credentials and try again.
at Mongoose.Ews.Server.Data.EwsServerDataAdapter.ConnectExisting(String ewsServerName, String userName, String password)
at SmartConnector.EBOOPCClient.WeatherProcessorBase.get_DataAdapter()
,[],

2022-04-14 09:10:51.1328,Debug,Service,<no principal>,No Flexera license found for smartconnector.service, status was UnknownError. Continuing to check for native Smart Connector license.,No valid client license available.
(Error -5: No such feature exists.),

Notes:

1. The credentials of the 2 processor are correct.

2. The license is a developer license.

When this happens, I can't start the SmartConnector service and the only option is to reinstall it.

Any idea what is the problem?

Hi,

I don't see anything wrong in the logs. The error I imagine comes from a first run of your processor when trying to connect to an EWS server that does not yet exist, but it looks like your setup processor sets it up and connects successfully.

Is there more to the logs, they look incomplete?

Does the connector ever start forwarding events if you wait for it ? Changing the filter is going to cause a connector restart and based on the other messages you are seeing it could be that you need to wait longer for the restart to happen ?
