Smart connector installation Error

Hi Sir/madam,

We've Installed SQL Express 2019 & Microsoft SQL Server management studio 18.9.2 & Smart Connector v2.4.38 in new VM at One of the critical Data Center.

After installation Smart Connector Service isn't running.(Please refer attached Document).

We have tried to changing the properties as automatic and In Recovery Tab, Restart the service after failure.

But still the service isn't getting started, it is showing the error, (See attached Document)

"The Smart Connector service on Local Computer started and then stopped.

 Some service stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs"

and,

Also We received below mentioned as Error log in window system log,

The Smart Connector service is marked as an interactive service. 

However, the system is configured to not allow interactive services.  This service may not function properly.

We've Installed the same in our local system, and there was no error during the installation and its working properly.

I've attached the Smart connector log, Error captures.

Please kindly go through and help me to resolve this issue.

Hi Geetha, 

It seems like your user can't connect to the database.

2022-05-13 10:38:27.6367,Error,Utility,<no principal>,Cannot open database "SmartConnector.Service" requested by the login. The login failed.

Login failed for user 'DCIM\IAE.geetha'.

It looks like you're using Windows authentication. Look at your users and security policies for windows and SQL server, or try SQL authentication if it is an option. It's usually less finicky 🙂
