Odd TRV behaviour
Hi all, wondered if anybody has similar experience...
We have had three Wiser TRVs for about 2 years now and one by one each of them has started exhibiting undesirable behaviour.
Over time their operation has become very noisy, to the extent that it wakes us up at night - a loud buzzing noise as they actuate. The valves are definitely installed properly. The battery level is not low.
Also, the valves now have a habit of, un-commanded, entering into installation/calibration mode (valve fully opens, all LEDs flash for 5 minutes, then valve closes again). This seems to happen once or twice per day, often at night and combined with the noisy actuation has been disturbing our sleep!
Any advice as to why these things are happening and how I can stop them would be much appreciated!

Mine made similar noises unitl I went round and did a full recalibration of them.
- First setting them to fully open turn trv head to "+" and hold until light flashes red, trv will move to fully open
- Then making sure they were properly tightened down on the rad. (they do work loose after a time)
- Then turn trv head to "-" until you hear the motor move this will recalibrate the trv and you should get all 3 lights flash briefly and then extinguish.

The Random installation/recalibration mode you mention could be down to the TRV losing comms with the Hub. Whilst neither your hub or trv have moved in the two years the wifi connection between them could well be being interfered with just by radiation from other devices. You could try resetting everything or maybe calling technical support: 0333 6000 622 or support@schneider-electric.zendesk.com.
hope some of this helps

Thanks Brian. Unfortunately, having tried your suggestions, the issues have not gone away.
