We have a site where there are random transient values appearing against DNP3 points associated with AI objects.
To give an example I have a test setup with a relatively static signal applied to AI5 on a SCADAPack575.
Values recorded by the Geo SCADA and showing in the history are 27.2 but with a transient recorded of 14321773.0, both records are showing against the same DNP3 point at exactly the same time to the ms.
This is generated at the SCADAPack, we can see the source data in the DNP3 traffic sent to the Geo SCADA.
The AI has a 4..20mA input with an engineering range of 0..50. The transient would imply an input of 5,368A which clearly didn't happen.
Has anyone else seen any odd values appearing on AI data?

Hi Alastair,
I haven't personally seen anything like this. Perhaps someone else who reads the Forum will comment. If it's sufficiently bothersome it would be best to report it to Tech Support. They see and hear about a lot more odd things happening than most of us. You may already know, but here's their contact details:

What do you have your zero threshold set to?
I've really only seen the huge number issue when dealing with Modbus mapped values, or where the configuration for the zero threshold / zero value are a bit weird and the analog input is going 'negative' every so often (often happens with flow meters and current readings).
What do you have your raw range set to? And how do you have this point configured? I expect since you've mentioned EU range that you have this configured as a g30v5 REAL value.
Are you doing anything 'unusual' in the code? like do you create any DNP3 events using explicit logic?
