We've been using SCADAPack 47x RTUs on a project and have just tried to order some spares. Originally we received RTUs with model codes TBUP474UC... but have been informed that they are not available and now need to order TBUP474UA... RTUs.
In the datasheet for the 474 RTUs it breaks down the model number, and mentions that C = "DNP3 Secure Authentication SAv2 (Security Administrator application required)" and A = "Standard security features". I haven't been able to find any documentation on what "Standard security features" includes.
What are the differences between the C code and A code 47x RTUs?
If an RTU within a network of A code RTUs (communicating via DNP3) becomes inoperable, can a C code RTU be used as a suitable replacement?
Thanks to anyone who is able to offer any insight into the RTU model codes.

Hello @cooper234,
We recently made changes to the SCADAPack 470 and 474 options. We have eliminated the SCADA Security C option: DNP3 Secure Authentication SAv2 and made it a standard feature as part of the nearby A option. So the A option now reads as: Standard security features, includes DNP3 Secure Authentication SAv2 (Security Administrator application required).
We also eliminated the License Option 7: DNP3 Data Concentrator Controlling Station License, and rolled it into the nearby 0 option. So License Option 0 now reads as: Standard DNP3 features, includes DNP3 Data Concentrator Controlling Station License.
Standard Security Features refers to the basic inherent communications security of the RTUs protocols.
We're just in the process of uploading all our updated datasheets to our various web platforms, but until that's completed, here's the updated 470/474 datasheet for your reference. Sorry for the confusion on this.
Regards,
Martin Chartrand
