SCADAPack 32 Analog Input reading high

I have a SCADAPack 32 w/ FW version 2.23 and I am having an issue with one of the analog inputs reading slightly high.

When the analog input signal is ~4mA my raw counts are ~6700 when it should be closer to 6553. If I move the input to another channel it reads ~6553. I have tried putting a different analog input to this "bad" channel and it reads high as well. Is it just a bad channel or is there something causing this one input to read high?

Hello Syrio,

I'm not sure what the issue might be, but here are a few possibilities:

- Component out of calibration - would require repair or replacement of the board. Most likely candidate would be the 250 ohm current-sensing resistor for the faulty channel.

- The current/voltage selector jumper might be in the wrong position. Read the 5601 board's hardware manual for details. (p 19-20)

- Also check the DIP switches for 0-20 or 4-20 mA input selection. Probably not the issue but worth a look.

If you're not able to solve this issue, please do reach out to our Tech Support team who may have more suggestions.

I verified the current/voltage selector jumper on the 5601A board and they are all set to mA. I also verified the DIP switch setting for 0-20mA or 4-20mA and it is at the 0-20mA setting. Otherwise, when putting in 4mA my raw counts would be 0 with the 20% offset. I feel like your first comment relating to the calibration and the 250 Ohm resistor is the most likely issue. I will try your customer support line. I have had this issue on more than one SCADAPack 32 unit.

Thank you for your response.
