Self taught career path?
I am a Power Engineer here in Canada. We operate anything from heating to production, chemical, refrigeration plants etc. I am at a point where I am considering branching out into different fields. Programming always interested me. But I never got into it seriously.
What are some publicly available courses/programs available I could dabble in long distance?
With enough education I see myself as an asset to a company that would want to build/improve SCADA systems. I am using these systems on a daily basis and maintain equipment it's used to control/monitor. Because I have exposure to both sides I have a great understanding to how UI can be improved, but I would like to improve on the UX side.
