[Imported] Licensing SP32
>>Message imported from previous forum - Category:Realflo Electronic Flow Measurement<< User: mchartrand, originally posted: 2018-10-17 18:54:04 Id:84 This is a re-posting from the obsoleted (October 2018) "Schneider Electric Telemetry & SCADA" forum.

**_AEUser: We have a SP32 ordered that has 10 flow runs available. We are looking to diveid the runs between ttow SP 32s to balance the load. I have two questions. 1. Is it possible to move licences from one SP32 to another? 2. We would like to avoid the paging process to get the other runs when you run out of register space. ( I haven't had to deal with this yet but was told there was a game to play to get all ten to work) Are there any other drawbacks or performance issues if we left all ten in one SP32?_**

swesley: I will let someone from sales support answer the licensing issue. Regarding the second question, it is important to understand that RealFLO reserves some addresses, depndant on how many flowruns you have configured in your device. With regards to the game you have to play, it is also dependant on what type of host you are going to be speaking to. The RealFLO application maps out 35 days worth of daily & hourly history for flowruns 1-3. Runs 4-10 use shared registers which are populated via the SCADA host driver or via logic within the controller (you write this piece). The Instantaneous registers i belive are the same throughout all meters. Please consult the RealFLO Telebus Protocol Interface Manual for details.

mchartrand: The licenses come in either 2, 4 or 10 flow run packages so unfortunately you would not be able to split it down the middle. The closest you could get is four licenses on each.
