Configuring of alarams Citect

Hello,

I started using Citect and I have a project created with Citect 7.5. It's for the control of boiler and the runtime shows alarms messages for example "high temperature TT01". I want to know which tag or condition activates this alarm?

Thank you

This isn't quite the right forum for Citect.  This is more around Geo SCADA Expert, one of the Telemetry SCADA offerings.

Citect Alarms can be a little tricky, since there are a number of places they can be generated from.  Your most likely is as a digital alarm (digalm.dbf), although analog alarm is possible also (anaalm.dbf).

You could either use the Citect Explorer tools to search for the message within them, or open the dbfs directly in some compatible editor and search within them.

There is also an advanced alarm capability, although I've never used this, and haven't seen it used by others either.  I can't even recall what dbf it's in.. but I feel it was NOT advalm.dbf... it was something far more confusing.

If your alarm is configured as a digital, then it's almost certainly just a tag within the PLC, if it's an analog alarm, then it will be a combination of a setpoint value (within Citect) and an analog tag within the PLC.

Hello Bevan,

thank you for your answer. It is helpful and now I can see the messages with tags that activates them through digalm.dbf.

Thank you again.
