Good morning,
I'm looking for a Blink function block in Control expert. I'm not finding one and was wondering if I am missing something. I thought that it is something that is pretty standard with all software.
If its not there, can someone please show me how to create one?

I think the easiest way to do this is with two timer blocks (TONs and TOFs). Attached are a few blinking DFBs I made real quick. I highly recomend creating your own DFBs, they're much more flexible than AOIs if you don't want extra blocks floating around (the DFBs should work in LD and ST if that matters to you).
There's also a TP block, but I find that it isn't used very often, and it still needs another timer to trigger it for your uses.
Anyways: use my DFBs, just the logic, or create your own DFB. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Do you want to have variable on/off times?

correct; looking to have the output on for x seconds off for x seconds at a constant cycle.
For now I'm having my variable look at the real time clock and only turn TRUE at less than 15 seconds. otherwise i am having it stay false. that is working for this application. I'd like a cleaner option for future applications that need more stringent 1second or so cycles
