Our company has been working with Scadapack 300 series for 20+ years. Now, that new series are available, I would like to ask a few relevant questions, regarding the functionality of the new series Scadapacks:

From our SCADAPack Product Manager:
1) Will x70 support C or C++ programming?
"Yes, this will be included as one of the capabilities of the SCADAPack 470i and 474i with the Linux board. I expect it will be released no later than the end of 2021."
2) How about the GETL (get log) function block?
"Yes, we are developing a new integrated logging function which will include a similar function to GETL in a future RemoteConnect release."

1. Support for C++/C# and other languages (Python etc) will be coming with the SCADAPack470i
2. A version of the DLOG_F function is provided in the SCADAPack x70 Extensions Library v2.2 that are available free of charge via Exchange.

Thank you for your reply!
I didn't know about Scadapack 470i version, thank you.
I saw the DLOG_F function in the documentation provided with the Remote Connect software, though my question was about DLOG function. It records data entries in the data log internally and not to a separate file. It is stated in the documentation, that this function will be supported in later releases and GETL, which is used to extract the data records from the data log, will not be supported. So the question is - will these two functions remain in the new series? And if so, will they retain the same functionality?

Hello,
I'm curious when Schneider are planning to release update for x70 RTU controllers to support C/C++ language?
You mentioned below that it will be release at the end of 2021, but as much as I know it's not released yet.
Regards,

Hi Jonas,
I've received new information about the addition of C language capability into x70 SCADAPacks. Rather than add ability to run just C (or C++) apps within all x70 models, the plan is to offer our new SCADAPack 470i and 474i models. These will include a second processor board with a Linux operating system. (as well as more LAN and USB ports) This will allow the user to load and run applications written with C, Python or Node-RED logic.
The 470i and 474i models should be available by September. Note however that if you have any existing 470 or 474 models, they unfortunately cannot be upgraded to the "i" version.

Hello Jonas & all,
Here is a DRAFT version of the datasheet for the SCADAPack 470i and 474i. It is very similar to the 470 and 474, but adds the Linux board. Also an informational sheet about features of these new models.
Note that because these are draft documents, some specifications may change before the products are released.

Hi Jonas,
The SCADAPack 47xi documentation is quite good for much of what you'll need. The technical reference manual for the Edge platform will also have a great amount of useful information.
