Easergy P5F30 Issue connection fall after 5-7 min. with Easergy Setup Via Ethernet USB

Good morning.

 

I am writing to detail a problem that is happening to us with the Easergy P5F30 that we have mounted in SAT tests for some 69kV line boards integrated into IHM Ecosui. 

 

Problem description

Loss of connection with Easergy Setup via Ethernet and via USB (front panel). The equipment does not allow management through any of its ports. It only allows a temporary connection with the Easergy P5F30 in both ports for about 5-7 min after restarting the equipment (turning off and power on the power supply).

 

Observations

  • The device shows blocking of the connection with the Easergy Setup, however, it allows pinging the device through the Windows CMD.
  • The equipment does not present blocking of 61850 signals on the network: there is no evidence of loss or unknown signals, programmed in the Ecosui event window.
  • We have twelve (12) P5F30s with different settings and the same behavior occurs in all.
  • On the same network, we have a P3T32 and it has normal behavior. There are no connection problems with the Ecosui, or with the Easergy Setup.
  • We need permanent monitoring in all the equipment involved in the control system (IED / HMI / Gateway / Clients and SCADA simulators ...) in the SAT tests

 

Procedures performed by on-site technician

  • Management test with different PCs: In order to rule out problems with the PC ports, the same problem was presented on four (4) different PCs (two of them without Schneider's internal IT policies) and the same behavior. Therefore PC problems are ruled out.
  • Easergy Setup version change: Tested with two of the latest versions of Easergy Setup 3.0.0 and 3.0.1./3.1.1/3.2.0 The same problem occurs.
  • Restarting P5F30 units: temporarily solved by recovering the Easergy Setup management connection via USB and Ethernet for about 5-7 min. After this time, it does not allow connection to the Easergy Setup.
  • Firmware V300.103 and The firmware comes with Basic CS.

I had a similar issue last week, however, it was happening when the relay got synchronized via SNTP.  please check that.

 

In this case the solution was the firmware upgrade, please check that and contact your local support.

Thanks for the answer. The Synchronization is OK via SNTP. We test without the GPS and the issue persist.¿Do you know the firmware version upgraded/downgraded?
