Masterpact NW16H1, Micrologic 5.0 E Unable to communicate with an IFM
Hi,
I have a costumer who has a PM5560 and a Masterpact with a Micrologic 5.0 E
I want to integrate the Masterpact to the PME, so I used a IFM interfase to connect the Masterpact to the PM5560, I did the connections acording to the following picture,
but when I push the IFM test button nothing happens, the management console does not recognize it.
What might I do?

Dear @JuanMQT,
The PM5000 must be connected on the Modbus side (Modbus Master side) and not on the ULP side (breaker side) like an FDM121.
- Either the communication is in Modbus TCP (Ethernet):
In this case, the PM5000 has to be connected to the Modbus TCP interface of the breakers (IFE).
It is very simple to make with Ethernet cable.
See diagram below in red on the right.
- Either the communication is in serial Modbus:
In this case, the wiring is a bit more complex.
It is done with the interface in red below by serializing the PM5000 with the IFMs
Here is an example of serial IFM connections:
You have to add the PM in series upstream or downstream of this "daisy chain".
Do not forget the termination resistor on the last device in the chain.
It is noted F on the diagram above or it is the small black square on the example of the PM5000 chain.
Feel free to ask if something is not clear.
Best regards
Ludovic
