Topic explains it all, please save the selected sorting order when opening and closing the "Data Editor". Now it always sorts on variable name every time the list is opened. I almost always want my list to show in rising address order so I have to click this column all the time.
Fully agree with you. It is very annoying. Another annoying thing with data editor is that it does not remember the columns configuration. I use "Used" column a lot and almost always I have to add it because it is not a default column.
Yeah, it's a project setting while many would probably have wished this (and some other stuff too) was program settings.
I think that would be a massive task to implement but in an optimal world there would be a settings/profile manager where you can select like "use program" or "use project" or "fixed selected value" value for each possible setting and also be able to save current settings as a new profile and set that profile as a default profile for example. Maybe also to be able to switch profiles on the fly...
There is this option manager but it has much to wish for, it does not have a profile management so you can quickly switch between settings and it has a very limited and fixed list of options, it does not allow a "profile" to select between "use project" or "use program" for example. All UI affecting settings in Control Expert counts as either one or the other, no combinations possible 😞
