The power supply diagnostics DFB can only be used with redundant power supply modules when used in redundant power supply racks.
We request access to the access the same information from redundant power supplies when;
used as single power supplies in any primary ethernet racks
used as single power supply in an extension rack
used as dual power supply in an extension rack.
Please vote for this and add any comments that support the modification to the software to support this.
For me and the customer it is the ability to monitor the temperature in the cabinet. Typically the power supply temperature is 5-10C higher than the ambient panel temperature. The accuracy is +-5C
The biggest functional gap is inability to see the status of redundant supplies in extended backplanes. At the moment the only workaround is to wire the fault relay from each of the redundant supplies into an input on the drop. It would be much better and more logical if we could use the DFB for this.
