Hi,
Customer say that energy rolles over it maximum (starts at zero again) in the PM8000 meter display.. (MV-station)
Is it possible/recomended to change kWh to MWh in the PM8000, and if so, will key function in PME work?
I see that it is possible to just adjust Energy rollover in the ION setup.
Recommendations?

Hello @geir_eas_no_bfo ,
In the world of ION there is often more than 1 way to do things. Each has different benefits and drawbacks. Upping the rollover value is fairly easy to do, but does mean that you loose resolution. See Precision limitations on decimal values https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single-precision_floating-point_format.
Another option would be to take the kW reading, divide by 1000, then feed this MW reading to a new integrator module. This integrator module would be MWh output. By default this would not be linked to a display and would need additional display module to be able to read from front panel. Does require some custom framework.
You could link the Integrator module's rollover pulse to a counter module, this would keep trace of the number of time the integrator has rolled over. Again to display this number on meter's front panel would require a custom display module.
These are just 3 examples that I have seen. Possible there are even more out there.

Charles
