Good Morning people!
I think this tool is really interesting... is there a way to have it also in other languages?
Or maybe is there a kind of automatic tool (also online) to convert the english phrases into other languages (italian for instance) so I can manage the translation?
Thanks to provide a feedback
Regards,
Roberto

Hi Roberto -
There is no automatic tool to convert the text into English. The tool is owned by Global Marketing. Unfortunately it was created in Flash so that it could be published in the now defunct mySETV site where interactive animations were being hosted at that time.
In order to request a translation, you will need make the request in Global Marketing's SE Media portal. The reference number for this tool is 2329279_PM5500_GMA. If you supplied the translated text as part of your request, they should be able to render an Italian version with relative ease.

Jon

Hi Jon,
thanks for the feedback.
It's a pity that we have created it in flash, we have many nice tools like this (coming from other BUs) that allow the Country to simply translate the strings (half an our of work max...)
I have only one question about this translation process: is it free of charge or we have to pay something?
As you probably know Countries do not have budget to implement this activity.
Thanks!
Roberto

Hi Roberto,
I share the same sentiments. When this tool was created, Global Marketing was a much different organization than it is now. They wanted complete ownership over distribution and publication of the tools they created, and they controlled the entire localization process. At the time it made sense to produce the tool bound to their processes. How things have changed quite a bit since then!
I am not sure what the new Global Marketing organization charges for localizing assets like this. Perhaps they will simply provide source materials, in which case you just need a contractor to insert the translated text and re-render the animation. It isn't an ideal solution, but it is one avenue to take.
Regards,
Jon
