I am in need of getting some new PQ meters at work, both for energy monitoring and troubleshooting. I was wondering if anyone here has utilized them and have any for or against recommendations.
More specifically I’m looking for this sort of thing
3 or 4 isolated input channels 600Vac max (1kv preferred)
3 or 4 current clamp channels (clamps for 0-20A and flexible up to say 2kA)
Interval and exception (transient) recording
Three phase setup and power calculations
Harmonica for current, voltage, and power up to say 21st harmonic (60Hz)
Couple gigs of storage
Bus-powered from PT channel a plus
If anyone else here is doing troubleshooting or PQ work, let me know if you have any suggestions.
I’ve been using Dranetz PowerVisa, PowerGuide, and PowerExplorer. Had mixed experience with their new PQHD line.
