Hi,
We have some PM8000's on client stand-by generators, we would like to better utilize the logging and alarms, waveform capture, etc. But right now as it is quite normal for the generators to be off, or ramping down, most of the captured data is at generator stop or start and potentially not worth perusing for analysis, thus the metering alarms are now effectively being ignored and my worry is that real events are also being missed.
Is there a way to only trigger starting any alarms recordings, etc, when the generator is running? whether that be via digital input, (gen run signal) or possibly even setting a current limit to enable say < 20 Amps?

Hello Grant,
There are many ways to do things with ION meters, for example, you could connect a status of a digital input to the enable of the sag/swell module. Or use a setpoint module with current input and status output linked to the enable. These are just examples of what can be done.
