PM8000 communication

Hai

I Have 5 nos of PM8000 MFM connected via Ethernet port ring topology. if i connect one ring end to ethernet switch1 and another end connected to another ethernet switch2. our ESCADA totally loss the communication. so that we keep one one connection. please give me a solution for this. IEC 61850 protocol Is used.

Hello @sivasara ,

If using the meters in ring topology, need to make sure RSTP is enabled on all meters and network is setup for RSTP. Otherwise meters will be a network loop that can bring down a network fast. IT killing one or both ports is expected.
