Hi Everyone,
I'd like to configure the logging function in PME for PM8000, to make the sytem log some measurements not configured by default.
But I can't find the location of the ion extension file for PM8000 on the system.
Could you anyone let me know how to do that?
Best Regards,

Hi JeongJe
The PM8000 is an ION device, so it does not use device driver files. To add additional logged measurements, you can configure them onboard the device itself using ION Designer. PME will automatically discover them one configured.

Hi,
Is there any, manual on how to change the software logging of PM8000 from default 15mins to a per-second interval?
Thanks in advance

Hello @DPMalagar ,
The PM8000 meters use ION protocol to communicate with PME by default. There is no MDI configuration since the ION protocol is default with PME and ION Devices. You would want to configure logging onboard the meter with either Designer or ION Setup.

Hi @Charles_Murison,
Thank you for your swift response, I believe the on-board logging only limits to 3300 logs? will it be still stored to SQL database?

Hello @DPMalagar ,
3300 may be the default depth but by no means the maximum. If you have not already looked at the ION reference from se.com I highly recommend getting this document. Default settings on PME will collect all data logged on the PM8000. PME can however be configured to only collect specific data.

Charles
