PM8000 Data Export
Hi all, we have a client that has installed a large number of the PM8000 meters into their LV infrastructure but at this moment in time PME is not there (its on their roadmap to install)
What they would like to do is have some way of getting data off the meter (they are particularly interested in power factor) we can modify the frameworks no issue to log PF but what is the best way of them retrieving these logs without a centralised system, they accept they may need to connect to each one in turn as there is no site network at this point in time either, is ION Setup, FTP of the web pages going to be capable of doing what we need ?

Hi Richard
I would go with ION Setup as a good bet. In the Setup Assistant, select Reports. There are two tabs, Meter Info and Data Collection.
With Meter Info, you can export the Revenue Log, Energy Demand Log and Event Log, along with the meter configuration if that is desired for your records. You can select the number of records or a date range for data, and once the data is displayed, you have the option to Save As. File type options include CSV, TXT, PRN, XML and HHF.
Data collection is a new one (Rob has been busy :-}). I haven't played with that, but it appears you can select Events/Data Recorders/Waveforms and then export the data range as an XML file. That might be the more desired method as I suspect it may have been created with your situation in mind, but I'm not as familiar so can't say for certain.
