PM5000 depth vs PM700 depth - what can cover the difference

Hello everyone,

more and more customers are asking for the reason why there is greater depth of the PM5000 than PM700 meters. PM700 is 50mm deep but PM5000 depth is at least 72mm!

This is the real issue when it comes to mounting in Prisma. I've got answer from Prisma product manager, that in that case, PM5000 should be mounted in cable duct. But usually, it's not best fit solution or even not possible solution.

I can't find any mounting kit, but there is need for some kind of pad, that would make PM5000 depth-compatible to PM700.

Have you got any suggestion for solving this problem?

In my case, that can break the sales, unless this problem is solved. And now, at this very week, the customer needs Schneider solution or product to cover this incompatibility.

So I'll be very grateful for prompt help or any help as well.

BR,

Janusz

Hello everyone, I would like to refresh the topic:

has anybody problem with the depth of the PM5000s, which is 72mm and it is grater than PM700 depth?

It is serious problem when it comes to mounting it in Prisma as well as in other switchboards. Have you got any clue to work this out?

BR,

JM

Hi Janusz: Do you know if a PM5000 is necessary?  Perhaps a PM3000 could be used instead?

: do you have any suggestions?

Hi . I am aware of the topic and it's a problem in other countries as well. We don't have a solution for it yet, but I am looking into an adapter kit for PM5000 and Prisma panels. It will take us some time to come up with it, but I will keep you posted. The other option is to use the remote display, but that would only work for PM55xx. Again, I will work with the team to try to figure out the best way to solve this. In the meantime, can you send me example pics so I am sure we are really talking about the same problem, same panel? Thanks!
